
​University Relations

While not a formal part of the University since its early days CUPA has been supported by and maintained relationships with many of Concordia’s administrative departments and senior leadership offices. As expected, with changing times the nature of the support and relationship has altered over the years but remains consistent.

The relationship is complementary and beneficial to both CUPA and the University. The University provides CUPA certain services and assistance usually restricted to internal departments as well as support in other areas. The Association provides feedback on issues relevant to pensioners, which often affects current staff, and participates actively on Pension and Benefits committees. Also, CUPA helps distribute relevant information to pensioners about various campaigns and events.

Active relationships are maintained with Human Resources, Financial Services, IITS, University Advancement, University Communications, and certain ancillary services.

As part of the larger Concordia University community, maintaining and reinforcing an effective and complimentary relationship with the University is important to the well-being of CUPA.
